A Hero Has Fallen...
It is 2:03 PM and I just received news that my grandmother, Rosa Mae Hodge (a.k.a. Mama Rose), has died. She awoke this morning with great pain and cramping and was rushed to the emergency room. While there, she had a stroke and did not recover.
As I watched her deterioration from Alzheimer disease, I do not mourn her release from this world. She truly was a woman of God...woman who displayed Godly character in the face of mountains of adversity.
Divorced from a cheating husband, she left small-town Alabama and took her 4 children to Nashville so they could attend a good Christian school. She raised her children in the presence of God and now she is resting peacefully with him.
