All or Nothing...

I had an individual recently comment that it is "all or nothing" with me. I got to thinking about that statement and want to pose this question: Is there really any other way to be?

Nobody likes indecision. You don't want someone who vacillates between two polar opposite opinions. Nobody likes wishy-washy people. As a matter of fact, Jesus himself commented in judgment on the Church at Laodicea, saying "I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth." (Revelation 3:15,16 NKJV) Stern words for a lukewarm church!

As I seek to follow God in all things, I find that there is no "gray area." Rather, I find things to be very much "black and white" with Him. You're either on or off, in or out, right or wrong, righteous or evil. There is no mixing of the two! Can you be partly evil? Partly on? I don't think so.

And so, in the sum of things, I find myself either hot or cold, but not in the middle on much. Sure, there are things that require serious thought before plunging in; but once the decision is made, I make it and stay the course.

After serious reflection, I find the comment to be a compliment. Thanks!
